Can Someone Else Fulfill Your Destiny?
Posted on 27. Sep, 2010 by Angie Wyatt in Blog
What will it take for you to fulfill your destiny?
I’ve heard it said that if you do not fulfill your destiny, God finds someone else to do the job. This is an interesting assumption and certainly one that cannot be proved. Still, I challenge the concept. It seems like an easy cop-out. I imagine someone thinking: Well, I’m not that important. God can get someone else to do the job.
Martin Luther King Jr. lived his dream so well that no one else could have matched his accomplishments. He opened the door to equality with an intellect and courage that was unique to only Martin Luther King Jr. He pursued his calling with passion and commitment. He became the person he was destined to be. Would God have been able to find another?
Mother Theresa served with such love that no one else could have modeled such servitude. She loved the unlovely. She caused the world to look upon the humble with honor. She strived for her calling with passion and commitment. Would God have been able to find another?
C.S. Lewis wrote with such depth and insight that no one else could have taught with such courageous creativity. Through story and parable, he unraveled some of the greatest mysteries of God’s character and nature. With passion and commitment, he lived his greatest life. Would God have been able to find another?
We must live by the assumption that no one else could do the job. We must believe that our calling is unique to our individual destiny. We must believe that God has a purpose that only we can fulfill. If you believe this is true, then you will passionately commit to your vision.
To passionately commitment to your vision, you will need God’s help. You must become the person you are destined to be. You must pursue Spiritual Wellness.
Can you think of others who passionately pursue their destiny? Do you believe you can fulfill your destiny?

I think it should be worded differently. It should be worded “If I don’t accomplish God’s will through me, will He use someone else?” Gods Will, will be accomplished either way-through me or someone else should I choose not to obey. I think sometimes the word “destiney” is over used and misunderstood.
