We’re headed into Halloween weekend.  What is fun for some, represents fear for others.  We ought to keep in mind that “perfect love casts out all fear.”

Alexis prayed for God to awaken her heart to His love …

She felt that her heart had grown dull to the liveliness of God’s love.  Yet, she didn’t know how to pray.  What could make her dull heart come alive?  She trusted that God knew.  She prayed, “Please do whatever you need to do to awaken my heart.”

After praying, she continued to get ready for her day.  She got dressed and hurried out the front door on her way to work.  Then, she saw it.  Resting on her brick walkway was a flower petal in the perfect shape of a heart! She knew God was speaking to her.  He reminded her of His pure love.   She said, “The white heart symbolized God’s selfless and holy love – unlike any love I could receive apart from Jesus.”
