After only our fourth date, Chris sent me 14 long-stemmed red roses! I instantly knew their meaning. The spiritual number for perfection, wholeness or completion is the number 7. This vase of 14 roses represented two whole individuals becoming one in Christ. God was joining us together.  Since that first occasion, whenever Chris gives me roses, they arrive as a bunch of 14. It’s his continual reminder to me that our love serves a greater purpose.  So romantic!

Recently, for the first time, my husband broke the tradition. He gave me 15 roses. They were so incredibly meaningful to me. However, I think it was God who sent the message. Chris was just the messenger.

Chris drove four hours to pick me up from my spiritual retreat. During the weekend, I focused on God’s presence and grace. At the close of the retreat, Chris picked me up with a single rose in hand.  We said our goodbyes to friends and headed to the car. When I opened the car door, there awaited an additional full bunch of 14 roses! They were gorgeous!

Sadly, by the time we got home, these 15 roses were becoming limp from hours without water. Two of the roses, in particular, looked as if they had no hope. They were completely drooped over and appeared nearly dead.  Despite their depressed appearance, I trimmed all 15 roses and placed them in fresh water.  My hope was that at least 1 of the 2 dying roses would survive, leaving me with our memorable 14 roses.

The next morning, to my delight, all 15 roses had survived and were blooming beautifully! They were bright, happy and lively!

Isn’t it just like God? We think that life is over, we feel that we can’t possibly recover, we desire just half the portion we need … and then … God. He resurrects our lives, He heals our wounds and He supplies more than we even need.  His grace fills our lives with abundance.

Do you know the spiritual significance of the number 15? It refers to God’s divine grace. In Esther, the Jewish people were delivered from death on the fifteenth day of the month (9:18-21). And the Feast of Tabernacles occurs on the fifteenth day of the seventh month (Leviticus 23:34).

Chris gave me roses and love.  And then … God reminded me of His divine grace during a week when I was desperate for His presence.

How has God revealed His grace to you recently?  Tell us your story.

Loved your story of God’s Grace! Here is mine as HE touched me with HIS Grace today!.

I was going through old VHS tapes (yes I still have a VCR) and I came across an old tape called “The Music Machine” that we had bought when our Grandson was about 2 years old. He loved the cartoon style story of Agapeland and songs of Love Joy Patience etc done by Pat Boone.

I wanted to make sure it still played well so I watched it and recalled the joyful times watching and listening to The Music Machine with our Grandson Westley.

“I wonder if this was ever put onto a DVD?”, I thought to myself.

You see my youngest daughter is now due in June for the birth of her first child. And, as some readers know, our Grandson Westley died at a young age but I know he, like I, would want all children to hear and watch The Music Machine. So I looked on-line and sure enough, there were 4 copies on DVD at ChristianCinema.com and I bought a copy to enjoy with our soon to arrive Grandchild.

There are not a lot of children’s VHS programs re-issued on DVD, particularly if they are from Pat Boone 1990! But The Music Machine, by the Grace of God is an exception.

I have to marvel at that happening today and then your wonderful story and your asking how has God revealed His grace to us lately.

Here is also the quick trailer for Pat Boone voice-over and 2 minute video from The Music Machine for anyone who is interested.
