Stop overeating starts with discipline, strong will in our minds. – I had it 10 days last month with Daniel fast! Blessings, Swiss Rose

Yes Angie, eating too much is often less about hunger for food !

It may be a need for companionship, a need to escape or avoid something else, busyness to offset boredom or
one of a whole lot of other reasons, the least being true hunger.

When I am happiest, I have the smallest appetite and then only for a “good” meal. When my days are connected to God within, if I am to cook or eat, it will be a relaxed process and I will enjoy the preparation and slowly eat when it is ready.

And at such times, with my inner sense of well-being, I believe and have been told, it makes others relaxed and happy too. I know I feel best with others who are radiating a happy sense and their eating is not rushed as they savour each morsel or sip. I appreciate their attitude and hope I can do the same for them.

So for me, if I am too tired or upset I need to feed my spirit in prayer or reading something positive. Then, I will know when it is time that I will be able to nourish my body with a replenished spirit.

    He is Blessing all, always

Emotional eating is such a huge issue within our society! I never realized I was actually doing this until recently. When I begin to get busy and stress starts to creep in, sometimes I won’t make time to spend with the Lord and try to do everything on my own…it usually ends in tears and some ice cream (as cliche as that is). When I realized that God wants to comfort me in my stress and hard times and walk with me, I realized that by giving my stress to Him is basically my only option! Instead of being hopeless, I think that God can do anything and if I have his help I can get through it.

I realize the only person that can help me is God and me. I have read so many books , articles, plans , and nothing work. Nothing work. Today I give up and let God. I will keep a Journal as God talks, and walk me through this, in Jesus name. I am tired of being deep in the valley. I have been hanging on and God never let me go. I will listen and pray, and listen and pray.
