We should be formed and prepared during college time and even earlier in our lifes for knowing how to live a good and prosperous adult life. It’s not easy when we are away from home in shool. Can we attend classes who teaches us all necessary things? Is it enough to focus on God and ask the Lord for an advice. That can certainly help us. But how about kids, teenagers not grown up in a christian environment? I myself am an example of it. My parents said to me, Sunday School and then confirmation with 16. and as a child a wee prayer at bed time. That’s all something they learned from their parents. I got a child bible. Reading in it or in another bible never. It was just a tradition a lot of families here still have. All that never means, believing in the Holy Book and taking advices from there. To come back to your title “Colleage Experience”. We always can make experiences with other students there and grow in them. – We always have to grow, it do not depend of the age. I now with my 51 am still growing with the bile messages, in church and when I read myself in the Book. So, that’s it for now from the Swiss gal. Blessings Rose

Thanks for your feedback, Rose. It’s true that we should always work on self-improvement. I just think that college is the best time to make a major dent. Your comments started me thinking about ways to expound on this idea of college… so I just wrote a blog with more info.

[...] College is a time for self-discovery and preparing for your future.  Yes, its about making the grade.  But, there’s so much more to this season than finding the right major.  For many, it’s the first time out of your parent’s home.  And yet, you’re not completely on your own.  You’re exposed to new people and new ideas.  Your path becomes a blank canvas.  It’s exciting!  I think everyone instinctively knows that college is about self-discovery.  But, too many people ruin the opportunity – they don’t make the most out of college. Be it College or just being on your own I think is a crucial time in someone’s life to figure who they are and will ultimately become.
